The beach is clean and undeveloped; and due to its sparse population, the natural resources here are quite intact. There are a fishing settlement and a sanctuary for migratory seabirds near the beach. Activities like paddy farming, coconut, and beetle nut tree farming are common. The beach is dotted with lovely coastal trees like ‘Suru’ and the entrance to the beach has a canopy of ‘Belu’ trees. The village hosts some amount of visitors and includes some businesses like restaurants, hotels, and cottages.
