Charkha Bridge
The Charkha Bridge is an iconic landmark project inspired by the spinning wheel — Mahatma Gandhi's symbol of self-reliance and national identity. Located in Wardha, the spiritual heartland of Gandhian India, the bridge merges structural engineering with cultural symbolism.
The design draws on the radial geometry of the charkha, translating it into a cable-stayed structure whose pylon and radiating cables echo the spoke pattern of the spinning wheel. DesignFakt delivered complete architectural and engineering design in association with MSRDC.
