Dibba Harbour

The Dibba Harbour in Musandam, Oman is a new fishing harbour facility designed for the Government of Oman. Set against the dramatic fjord landscape of the Musandam peninsula, the harbour's buildings are placed in careful dialogue with the mountains that rise directly from the water's edge. DesignFakt delivered complete design and engineering for the harbour basin, jetties, service buildings, and public waterfront.

The architecture references Oman's maritime vernacular — low, whitewashed buildings with deep overhanging eaves that shade interior spaces from the intense Gulf sun. Service buildings are grouped around the landing area, with a public waterfront promenade separating the working harbour from the village edge. DesignFakt delivered complete architectural and engineering documentation.
