MGIRI Auditorium

The MGIRI Auditorium at the Mahatma Gandhi Institute of Rural Industrialization in Wardha is a performance and assembly hall designed to serve the institute's academic, cultural, and civic programme. The building's form is determined by the acoustic geometry of the auditorium interior — a curved concrete roof that reflects and distributes sound with precision while creating the hall's primary architectural identity.

The auditorium holds 500 seated, with a flexible stage configuration that accommodates both theatrical performances and formal academic convocations. The foyer is designed as an exhibition space, with a continuous perimeter gallery that can be programmed independently of the main hall. The building's orientation on the campus was determined by acoustic isolation from the adjacent road. DesignFakt delivered complete architectural and acoustic design for MGIRI.
