A central green spine connecting courtyards and gardens — thermal and ecological infrastructure for Vidarbha's climate.

The MGIRI Wardha Campus masterplan provides a framework for the long-term development of the Mahatma Gandhi Institute of Rural Industrialization's principal campus. DesignFakt's masterplan is organised around a central green spine — a sequence of courtyards and gardens that connects the campus's principal public spaces and provides the thermal and ecological infrastructure for a campus in Vidarbha's hot, semi-arid climate.
The masterplan establishes a coherent character for the campus through a set of consistent design principles: locally quarried stone plinths, whitewashed walls, red oxide floors, and deep overhanging roofs. These principles are applied across the full range of building types — academic buildings, residential hostels, workshops, and the auditorium — creating a campus that reads as a unified architectural landscape. DesignFakt delivered complete masterplan and design guidelines for MGIRI.
