MTNL Metro Station

The MTNL Metro Station continues DesignFakt's series of Nagpur Metro interventions — each unique in its response to local urban conditions while maintaining a consistent design language that gives the corridor its identity. The station's structure is expressed externally, its steel frame becoming a legible marker in the cityscape that can be read from a distance as both landmark and wayfinding element.

At concourse level, the station creates a compact but generous public space — a threshold between the city and the metro network. Natural light is introduced through a continuous clerestory running the length of the platform, eliminating the underground quality that characterises many metro station typologies.
