Rahyut Harbour

Rahyut Harbour in Dhofar Governorate extends DesignFakt's coastal infrastructure work in Oman into the monsoon-affected southern coast. The design addresses the extreme seasonal conditions of the Khareef — Oman's summer monsoon — through robust structural systems, elevated floor levels, and covered public spaces that remain functional throughout the season.

The harbour's landscape setting — at the base of the dramatic Dhofar escarpment where mountains meet the Arabian Sea — informed a design that uses topography as structure, with buildings terraced into the hillside to minimise their visual impact on the coastline. DesignFakt delivered complete architectural, structural, and civil engineering documentation for the Government of Oman.
